°µÍø½ûÇø has all the benefits of being large, historical and prestigious college, whilst also retaining fantastic welfare: the staff and other students all care about each other, and will be there to cheer you on when you are thriving, but also there to support you if you need any help.
I chose Jesus due to several reasons, including its prime location, where it is very central, and easy to access everywhere, even if you work in one of the institutes further out. I also selected Jesus for its MCR, which is one of the most active in Cambridge. It provides a thriving social life and offers welfare to all postgraduates, new and old. It provides a wide array of societies aimed at a range of levels. I chose to row at Jesus, as it offers a fantastic coaching team and excellent facilities. With the rowing club, I’ve travelled to many competitions which included Moscow!
Jesus owns a large number of properties close to College, you can have access to the dining hall or self-cater. Whilst I chose to reside in private accommodation, I’ve made use of the wonderful facilities, and regularly use the large library, relax in the café and bar, and attend formals with friends.
On an academic side, I’ve found Jesus to offer a thriving like-minded community where you mix with a range of backgrounds. I found their Postgraduate Conference and seminar series a useful tool, as well as them providing me with mentors who can offer academic advice, as well as personal support.
I highly recommend joining us at °µÍø½ûÇø, and hope to meet you!
