大阪でバレエダンサーとして活躍した後、Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Austria) に留学。
Needcompany, Joost Vrouenraets/GOTRA, Anton Lachky company, Cielaroque Helene Weinzierl などとの作品作りに参加している傍ら、自身のプロジェクトを立ち上げオランダ、リンブルグ地方を中心に作品発表中。
2017年からオランダ、ティルブルグ市にあるFontys University of Fine and Performing Arts のマスタープログラム、Performance in Public Spaceを専攻、研究と作成の日々を送っている。
Mami is born in Kobe Japan in 1987.
She started dancing when she was 5 years old in Hyogo.
2005, she joined Homura Tomoi Ballet Company in Japan.
2012, she entered the professional dance program at SEAD dance academy in Austria at same time she was selected to work in BODHI project.
The piece ‘Sens Interdit’ by Anton Lachky with BODHI project is on tour since 2013, this piece has been presented over 15 countries so far.
2014, she worked with cieLaroque/Helene Weinzierl and also participated in the piece ’ All Tomorrow’s Parties’ in Steirischer Herbst Festival with Need company/Jan Lauwers and Grace Ellen Barkey and toured to Sarajevo (Bosnia),
Montpellier (FR) and Brussels (BE) with company.
In 2015 she moved to Maastricht (NL) and designed a costume for a 28km dance marathon project ’Kokoro’, performed in TEDxMaastricht as apart of presentation of the artist Joost Vrouenraets.
2016, she worked for ‘PANDORA’ production produced by Theatre Aachen and GOTRA/Joost Vrouenraets. She created her solo 'cotton' premiered in Musica Sacra Festival the same year, supported by Musica Sacra Festival, VIA ZUID and FashionClash Festival and produced by GOTRA.
2017, she is working with Anton Lachky Company (BE) on a piece 'cartoon', recently the piece is on international tour. (http://www.antonlachkycompany.com/cartoon/)
Currently, she is working on new project 'Blind Walk' that takes place in public space, this performance gives an opportunity to the audience interact and be part of performance. This project will be part of festivals in Limburg area in The Netherlands in 2017 and more.
Mami was selected in Master program 'Performance in Public Space' in Fontys University of Fine and Performing Arts in 2017.
